Leah Williamson

Staff Counselor

Leah grew up in Jackson and holds a Batchelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi College and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Leah is a Licensed Professional Counselor and began her career at Pine Belt Mental Health in Hattiesburg, MS, where she worked as a Clinician and later as a School-Based Coordinator. While counseling children, adolescents, and their families in both the school and home settings, she gained experience and specific training in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Through her work over the last several years at the Center for Hope and Healing, Leah has been able to broaden her professional focus to include individuals of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, parenting, marital issues, and anyone who might need help moving through life stages and changes. She has also led GriefShare at Broadmoor, which is a Biblically-based support and discussion group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Leah and her husband Eric have 2 school-aged children and are active members at Broadmoor.
